United States Air Force Band

Thank you for your interest in the Vocalist audition hosted by the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West. This musical audition will be conducted in two parts: (1) an initial screening and selection by pre-recorded submissions and (2) a live audition for those selected from the initial screening. Details concerning the pre-screening submission are attached. Please look over the requirements carefully to determine if you are prepared to audition at this time.

The following information outlines important dates and requirements.

3 Feb 2025 – Deadline for receipt of all musical pre-screening materials

10 Feb 2025 – Notification of pre-screening results sent by email

8 April 2025 – Live audition at Travis Air Force Base, Fairfield, CA

PRE-SCREENING REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

a. National Anthem (a cappella, performed straight/no embellishment)

b. Rock or pop song of choice (with accompaniment/track)

c. Three songs of your choice, 2-3 minutes each, showcasing a variety of styles and tempos (with accompaniment/track). Suggested styles include, but are not limited to:

i. Jazz

ii. Country

iii. Musical Theater

iv. R&B/Funk
