The Department of Music and Theatre at Hastings College welcomes applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities to direct the Hastings College Choir, teach applied voice, and courses in the candidate’s area of specialty, including but not limited to diction and vocal pedagogy, beginning in the 2022-2023 academic year. The successful candidate will hold a Doctor of Musical Arts degree (or equivalent, ABD considered) in Choral Conducting, or related field/degree from a nationally accredited institution of higher education. 2-4 years teaching experience at the college level is preferred, either concurrent to or following graduate studies. Extensive professional performing experience as a singer is also favored.
