Description
Gustavus Adolphus College invites applications for a full-time, one-year position of Visiting Instructor (or Assistant Professor with appropriate credentials) in the Department of Music to begin September 1, 2023. The department anticipates a continued vacancy, and the successful candidate may be considered for continuation into additional years, contingent upon favorable review and the continuing needs of the College.
Things you will do:
Teach 5.75 or 6 course equivalents during the academic year. Primary teaching responsibilities will include conducting the Lucia Singers (auditioned, large soprano/alto choir), the Choir of Christ Chapel (unauditioned, large mixed choir), and leading the Justice Choir (an ensemble that engages in the empathetic, collaborative, and collective power of singing together to create change). Other courses may include Basic Conducting or Secondary Choral Music Methods.
