The Department of Music at New Mexico State University is seeking an active and highly motivated individual with a strong student-centered dedication to teaching to serve as an instructor of voice and supervisor of functional piano.

Duties will include teaching undergraduate applied voice, pedagogy, and supervising the functional piano studio and teaching courses within the functional piano area. Other responsibilities will include maintaining a strong studio and recruiting on behalf of the NMSU Music Department. The successful candidate may be assigned additional duties dependent upon the applicant’s areas of expertise and the needs of the department.

Masters in vocal Performance is required.

The successful candidate will have strong piano skills, as well as robust interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, a collaborative and collegial approach to music-making, and commitment to the highest standards of musicianship and teaching.
