Description
Southwest Baptist University seeks Division Head of Music, Art and Theatre / Director of Choral Activities.
This full-time, tenure-track position involves setting the vision and managing the daily operations of the Division of Music, Art, and Theatre. Preference will be given to applicants with a specialty in choral directing who could also serve as Director of Choral Activities. Exceptional applicants with specialties in other musical fields may also be considered (particularly Music Education or Worship Arts). As division head, this individual will set a vision for each area, identifying and supporting enrollment growth initiatives. The Director of Choral Activities is responsible for directing two auditioned, mixed choral ensembles and establishing a musical vision for the choral program.

Qualifications:
· Graduation from an accredited college or university with a terminal degree in music, with preference given for a specialty in Choral Conducting. Also required is an established record of accomplishment in choral conducting on the collegiate level. Three years of experience in higher education. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience with accreditation procedures, faculty development, and/or budget management.
· Successful candidates must be professing Christians who are active members of a local church (preferably Southern Bapitst), enthusiastically support Southwest Baptist University’s Mission and Core Values, and articulate a Christian worldview in their work and life.
