Broadway Storytelling Online Masterclass

Participants will engage in a conversation about where they are in their artistic process, and engage in exploration exercises as we discuss what next steps they should take to grow and continue evolving artistically. Auditors will be as engaged in this exploration as the students who are performing. Students should come prepared with their 32 bars or full song (memorized) from their rep and come with an open mind / heart / spirit. Let’s explore and grow TOGETHER.

Telly Leung is a New York City native, Broadway performer, recording artist, producer, & theater arts teacher. His Broadway & national touring credits include Aladdin in Disney’s “Aladdin” on Broadway, In Transit, Allegiance (with George Takei & Lea Salonga), Godspell, Rent (final Broadway company), Wicked (Boq, original Chicago company), Pacific Overtures, and Flower Drum Song.

Performing arts is about PROCESS and not RESULT. It’s about the “journey” and not the “destination.” An artist is never done evolving and learning. In this class, explore how to tell a clear, connected, emotionally-engaging story through song.
