East Tennessee State Univ.

The East Tennessee State University Department of Music is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach applied voice (classical) beginning in the fall 2022 semester. Additional courses may be available depending on the skillset of the individual, including introduction to music or music fundamentals.

Qualifications for this position include:

Minimum of earned master’s degree in Vocal Performance.

Evidence of successful studio teaching at the secondary and/or collegiate level.

Evidence of ongoing performance as a professional musician

A strong desire to build diverse, inclusive, and welcoming learning environments for students

The ability to work with other faculty in a collegial and professional manner

Interest in building relationships with community arts organizations, professional musicians, and other ensembles in the region/state.
