McLean Community Players

McLean Community Players is seeking vocalists to perform in a 3-evening showcase of past and future shows, directed by Michael Replogle and Jess Rawls.

Performances are July 22-24, 2022 at the Alden Theater.

Individuals of all vocal ranges and ages are invited. Please bring 16-32 bars that showcase your voice. You may be asked to sing the entire song. Bring sheet music as an accompanist will be provided.

Our auditions will be held on May 17th and 18th, 2022 from 7 pm - 9 pm in the McLean Community Center (located at 1234 Ingleside Ave, McLean, VA 22101), with callbacks on May 20th, 2022 by invitation only.

We will be following the McLean Community Centers guidelines for auditions and shows. MCC follows the COVID mask regulations published from the Commonwealth of Virginia.

At this time, the center does not require people to wear masks to come into the MCC building. People may wear masks based on their own personal levels of comfort.

IMPORTANT: Please bring your calendar with you to the audition, as you will be asked to inform us of any and all conflicts you may have between the start of rehearsals through the end of the run. It is extremely important that you be absolutely honest about your conflicts as it is very difficult to schedule rehearsals unless all conflicts are known in advance. A conflict will not necessarily preclude you from being cast, as the director will work around actors' conflicts to the best of their ability. We are looking for the very best people and can be flexible to a certain extent on this.

We suggest that you download the Audition Form and complete it before arriving at the audition. Please bring a current resume and headshot with you, if you have one, to be used by MCP on your audition form. If you do not have a headshot, we will take a picture.

McLean Community Players is an all-volunteer organization. There is no pay for performers.

MCP is an excellent group to audition for. All parts for every show are open. None are ever pre-cast. You need not be a member of MCP and do not need to apply or pay to audition.
