Opera House Players Audition
Description
Winner of 4 Tony Awards (including Best Musical) 6 Drama Desk Awards and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama Creative Team.
Open Call:
MONDAY, JUNE 6TH @ 7PM

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 8TH @ 7PM
Please prepare 16 bars of a song in the style of the show.
Accompanist will be provided, so please bring sheet music.
Some may be asked to stay and learn a short movement combination.
You are encouraged to bring your theatrical resume, but not required.
A photo and/or video may be taken at auditions.
Please be familiar with the show, schedules, character information, and requirements as described below.

REHEARSALS:
Rehearsals are expected to be held Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons starting towards the end of August. Not everyone will be called at all times. More days may be added as we approach tech week and opening night.
AGE:
RENT features many mature themes, including sex, drug use, profanity, and intimacy between members of the opposite and same sex. Due to the adult nature of RENT, all actors must be 18 years old, or older, at the time of auditions.
COVID-19 PROTOCOL:
All participants must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a written exemption with a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours of the audition time or a negative antigen test taken the day of the audition. Unvaccinated cast members will need to provide a negative COVID antigen test weekly.
