Hessische Staatstheater Wiesbaden

The Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden is looking for an Opera Chorus Singer 1st Bass and an Opera Chorus Singer 2nd Bass starting in the 2021/2022 season.

Who we are?

The Hessian State Theater Wiesbaden is a five-division house with about 600 employees. More than 40 productions in opera, drama, ballet, concert and children's and youth theater, as well as numerous guest performances, offer a diverse cultural program each season, including classical works as well as modern music theater and pieces of contemporary dramatic literature. The two festivals of the Staatstheater Wiesbaden, the annual INTERNATIONAL MAIFESTSPIELE and the biennial WIESBADEN BIENNALE, are of great importance.

Prerequisite: completed vocal studies, accent-free command of the German language

Auditions will take place after a 1st selection process - based on the written application documents - probably in May 2021 (choir positions will be communicated with the invitation to the auditions).

The employment relationship is based on the provisions of the Normalvertrag Bühne, Sonderregelung Chor (NV Bühne Chor).

The willingness to work irregular shifts, as well as Sundays and holidays, is a prerequisite. Working hours are irregular as is customary in the theater.

Until further notice, employees of the State of Hesse will be provided with the "LandesTicket", which allows them to use local public transportation in the State of Hesse free of charge.
