Weathervane Playhouse

Weathervane Playhouse, Director Joshua Larkin, and the artistic team of Ragtime the Musical are seeking a dedicated and diverse cast of multitalented actors, singers, and dancers to bring this emotionally-resonant musical portrait of American humanity to life.

Dates & Times

April 1, 4:00-6:00p.m. (Youth only, Ages 6 to 13)

April 2, 3:00-7:30p.m.

April 3, 6:00-9:00p.m.

Those auditioning will be asked to present 16-32 measures of a song in the style of the show and to participate in a movement/dance call within a one-hour timeframe. An accompanist will be provided for vocal auditions.

Auditioning youths (Ages 6 to 13) will be asked to present 16-32 measures of a song in the style of the show and to read cuttings from the script in ten-minute audition blocks.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled audition time to complete requested audition paperwork.

Please provide sheet music for your piece in readable condition.

Please provide a headshot and resume (if available) at your audition.

Please dress in attire appropriate for the movement/dance call. Time and space will be provided for all auditioning to change prior to and after the dance/movement call.

Please be prepared to provide rehearsal date conflicts at your audition.

Conflict dates provided at this audition will be taken into consideration when creating detailed rehearsal schedules. Absences for conflicts provided at this audition will be considered “excused.”

Conflicts provided after casting will be approved at the discretion of the director and artistic team. Unapproved absences will be considered “unexcused” and may ultimately result in a performer’s dismissal from the cast.
