Opera de Tours

The City of Tours is recruiting a Tenor 1 chorister to join the permanent choir of the Opera. The desired start date is January 8, 2026 .

The Choir is made up of 14 singers, in 4 sections: 4 tenors, 4 basses, 3 sopranos, 3 altos.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

* Know how to sing in a group and blend your voice harmoniously with those of your vocal section and those of the choir

* Know and have professional level skills in lyrical singing technique

* Knowledge of music theory, stage comfort and familiarity with the stage

* Adapt to the instructions of the choirmaster, conductors and directors

* Demonstrate pedagogy and the ability to adapt to the public

* Mastering and maintaining your instrument individually

* Have notions of lyrical diction in a foreign language and particularly in Italian and German

* Have the ability to interpret a sung, spoken or silent role

* Master the French language (comprehension and expression)
