For the season 2021 / 2022 we are still looking for a singer for the following play / part:

THE CHINESE NIGHTINGALE (family opera after H.Chr.Andersen):

- artificial nightingale / servant Päng (double role) (double cast).

=> coloratura soprano (in the style of Olympia from Hoffmann's Tales)

Good German language skills are required.

A place of residence or accommodation in Cologne and the surrounding area is an advantage.

This call for applications is primarily aimed at young up-and-coming performers who are either still studying or have not yet completed their studies and do not yet have a great deal of experience, need stage experience or wish to add parts to their repertoire.

Kammeroper Köln (KOK) has been touring the German-speaking market since 1996, performing children's opera, classical opera and operetta, and major musical productions. KOK sets itself the task of specifically promoting young stage talent in combination with experienced performers, producers, directors, choreographers and conductors after their training. In 2014, the new venue was opened in the Pulheim rolling mill (near Cologne).

- a piece of free choice from the repertoire coloratura soprano

- Aria of Olympia from "The Tales of Hoffmann" or "Queen of the Night" (2nd aria) or "Glitter and be guy" (or comparable piece where staccati / high notes can be heard)

- one spoken text of free choice

2nd round (in Cologne)

Travel costs to the audition can unfortunately not be covered.
