Opera Viva! Italian Aria Competition

Win cash and scholarship prizes! Young singers between the ages of 18-35 are invited to apply for our online Italian Aria Competition. Submit a recording of you performing one aria, and compete for the following prizes:

Emerging Professionals Division (ages 25-35)

First prize $1000 cash

Second prize $500 cash

Third prize $300 cash

Collegiate Division (ages 18-24)

First prize $750 scholarship to Opera Viva! 2022 or $500 cash

Second prize $500 scholarship to Opera Viva! 2022 or $250 cash

Third prize $250 scholarship to Opera Viva! 2022 or $150 cash

Apply today! The application fee is $50 and the deadline to apply and submit your performance entry is July 19, 2021. Winners will be announced on August 7 in an online ceremony.

Our judges include the founder of Opera Viva! and faculty at Juilliard School of Music and USC Thornton School of Music.

Opera Viva! is a summer program for young artists in Verona, Italy focusing on Italian opera. We are saddened that we cannot hold our program in person yet this year, but we will be back in 2022!
