He has performed as a soloist on the stages of Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, and in major opera houses throughout the world. His performances have been praised by such publications as Opera News, The Wall Street Journal, Chicago Sun Times and the Washington Post. Dr. Nelson's students have been accepted to prestigious graduate school programs and young artist training programs such as Eastman, San Francisco Conservatory, Indiana University, Rice, University of Michigan and the Merola Opera program, and have consistently found success as freelance singers and vocal instructors.
