Mezzo-soprano Stephanie Weiss has sung internationally with Deutsche Oper Berlin, Berlin Philharmonic, Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Oper Leipzig, and San Diego Opera in such roles as Venus, Santuzza, Mrs. Patrick de Rocher, Grimgerde, Marcellina, and Marianne Leitmetzerin. With her ‘duo au courant’ partner, pianist Christina Wright-Ivanova, she released the CD “Sacred and Profane”, music of Daron Hagen, on Albany Records, and premiered “Passageway” by Jonathan Stark. Holding degrees from NEC, Tufts, UMKC, Mannes, and UNLV, she is Associate Professor of Voice at Arizona State University and is on the voice faculty of Opera Programs Berlin and AIMS in Graz.
