Kalle Kanttila is the Founder and CEO of Kanttila Management (formerly IOA Management), a leading international agency representing operatic talent worldwide. He also serves as the Director of the Bavarian Opera Academy, where he plays a pivotal role in developing and mentoring the next generation of opera professionals.

Originally from Oulu, Finland, Kalle began his musical education at the Helsinki Conservatory of Music, followed by a Bachelor's degree at the Zürich Conservatory and a Master's degree from the University of Karlsruhe. Before founding his management agency, he performed as a tenor soloist in the ensembles of Staatsoper Nürnberg and Theater Regensburg. His career also included guest appearances at many of Europe’s renowned opera houses and festivals, such as the Komische Oper Berlin, National Theater Mannheim, and the state operas of Wiesbaden, Darmstadt, Meiningen, and Karlsruhe. He has also performed at the Alexander Theater in Helsinki, Opera Wuppertal, the Schwetzingen Music Festival, and the Savonlinna Opera Festival.

As a respected figure in the international opera community, Kalle is regularly invited to serve on the juries of prominent international singing competitions. These include the Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition, the Competizione dell’Opera at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, the Zinka Milanov International Singing Competition in Croatia, and the Salvatore Licitra Competition in Milan. He has also contributed his expertise to the Panco Vladigerov Singing Competition in Bulgaria, Romania’s Musicum Laude Competition, Italy’s Concorso Lirico Salice d’Oro, the Vello Jürna Singing Competition in Estonia, the Young Singers Competition in Turkey, and the Lions Singing Competitionat the Immling Opera Festival in Germany.

In addition to his work as a manager and juror, Kalle is a highly sought-after lecturer and masterclass leader. He has led workshops and educational programs at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, and in cities such as Miami, New York, Vienna, San Francisco, Bucharest, Graz, and throughout Georgia.
