Jazz Singing Masterclass

Singers should prepare two selections—either one jazz and one classical; or one jazz and one musical theatre.

Soprano, jazz recording artist, author, and voice pedagogue Dr. Tish Oney travels internationally as a multi-genre performer and teacher. Having served several universities as a voice and jazz faculty member, Oney recently published her critically acclaimed second book, "Jazz Singing: A Guide to Pedagogy and Performance" (Rowman & Littlefield, 2022). Dr. Oney teaches professional singers in jazz, Broadway, opera, and classical styles and leads the Tish Oney Jazz Orchestra as bandleader and singer. Her articles have appeared in Classical Singer Magazine, JazzTimes, All About Jazz, and The Journal of Singing.
