A Diva’s Guide to the New Year’s Reset

Dec 29, 2025

Hi Divas!

I swear I blinked and suddenly we’re in December and 2026 is right around the corner. As someone who cannot stand New Year’s resolutions, I am, however, a firm believer in my New Year’s rituals: the quiet, intentional ones that feel like coming home to yourself.

Every year without fail I begin with a deep clean. And I don’t just mean your closet (though yes, diva, donate those jeans that haven’t felt comfy since 2018). I’m talking about a full-scale energetic decluttering: your space, your routine, the people you spend time with, the commitments you keep saying yes to even though they drain the absolute life out of you. Let it all stay behind in 2025.

This is your annual permission slip to reset everything that isn’t working:

  • Who you follow on social media.
  • What podcasts you listen to.
  • Your morning routine.
  • Your habits.
  • Your hobbies.
  • Your calendar.
  • Your commitments.
  • Your sacred doing-nothing time.

You don’t have to throw anything away forever as this isn’t an overnight “new year, new me.” Just take some space and then check in with yourself. Start with asking: How do I feel without this in my orbit? Do I miss it? Or do I feel lighter? Because often, clarity requires distance.

Then comes my favorite part: vision boards. Say what you want about manifesting being “woo woo” but I will always be a believer. Every year I make two— one physical (magazines, scissors, poster board, the whole arts-and-crafts shtick) and one digital on Pinterest. Save absolutely everything that sparks something inside you, no justification needed. Beauty is reason enough.

But here’s the part most people forget: you must revisit your vision board throughout the year. Let it remind you where you’re headed. Let it ground you when life drags you sideways.

Because it is never a question of if your dreams will find you, it is only when. Everything meant you seek is already seeking you. Your job is simply to be ready when it arrives.

And if you’re reading this thinking, I don’t even know what my dreams are, that is okay! Truly. You are in beautiful company. I’ve been there many times, and knowing you’re lost is one of the most powerful awakenings you can have. It means you turned off autopilot. It means something inside you flickered back on. That flicker alone is enough to begin.

So as we step into another year—not with pressure, not with panic, but with curiosity—ask yourself gently: Where can I create tiny pockets of joy? When do I feel the most alive? The lightest? The most like me?

No resolutions. No reinvention. Just returning to the truest version of yourself, layer by layer.

Here’s to a 2026 filled with softness, clarity, and the quiet confidence that what’s meant for you is already on its way.

Love your fellow diva,
Teddy
