Rachel Grindle is originally from Portland, Maine and has recently relocated to Denver Colorado. She holds a Bachelors of Music with a concentration of voice from the University of Southern Maine. There she performed various leading Music Theatre roles on their MainStage. Rachel has also competed and placed as a finalist in both Music Theatre and Classical NATS competitions, performed in various Master Classes focused in both voice disciplines and remains a finalist in the University's Annual School of Music Honors Recital representing Music Theatre voice.
Rachels Music Theatre credits span over summer stock companies, equity houses and National Tours. Credits include: Narrator, National Tour: A Christmas Carol (CMI Entertainment), Tracy Turnblad, Hairspray (Barn Theatre), Flaemmschen, Grand Hotel (College Light Opera Company), Erma, Anything Goes (CLOC), Princess Miranda, Jack and the Beanstalk (Maine State Music Theatre), Missy, The Marvelous Wonderettes ( Arundel Barn Playhouse), Kate Monster, Avenue Q (USM), Ilse, Spring Awakening (USM), Brenda Strong, Catch Me If You Can (USM).
Rachels Classical credits include: Summer Vocal Company, Soprano (College Light Opera Company) works by Gilbert and Sullivan. Wagner's the Flying Dutchman, Alto Chorus (Opera Maine). Rachel will also be attending FIO Italia's Opera Division summer intensive in Urbania, Italy (2023) where she will continue training and perform the role of Cardella in Pergolesi's Lo frate nńamorato.
Rachel's concert work accomplishments include: All Fached Up (Opera on Tap ME) , Mirror Cabaret (Mass Opera), Grand Night for Singing soloist (Maine State Music Theatre). Rachel also performed as a back up vocalist for Kristen Chenoweth and pre show soloist for Alan Cummings with Portland Ovations. One of her continued concerts of note is as a soloist is Perform for a Cure Cancer Benefit to raise money for the Cancer Community Center of ME.
