Bio

Elizabeth Neumeyer, Mezzo Soprano is a transcendent young operatic professional. Ms. Neumeyer’s rich, distinctive timbre has been featured in performances throughout the United States. Originally hailing from Long Island, New York, Neumeyer made her operatic debut at the age of eighteen singing the role of Dritte Dame in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte. Since then, she has additionally sung the roles of Bradamante in Händel’s Alcina and La Badessa in Puccini’s Suor Angelica.

In addition to her operatic endeavors, Neumeyer has a nuanced background in musical theater, most notably portraying the roles of The Witch in Sondheim’s Into the Woods, and Nettie Fowler in Rodgers & Hammernstein’s Carousel.

Following Carousel, Neumeyer will be performing as a young artist at Brevard Music Center’s Janice Opera Company, where she will be covering the roles of Armelinde in Viradot’s Cendrillon, and The Third Lady in Mozart’s The Magic Flute.

Besides her staged production experience, Neumeyer has won various awards such as the California Capital Chapter NATS Vocal Competition, the eVoco Voice Collective’s Young Artist Award, The Opera Modesto Kristina Townsend Memorial competition and The Babylon Chorale’s Summer Scholarship award.

In addition to the awards she has received, Neumeyer has worked with many industry professionals in masterclasses such as soprano Helena Brown of the Metropolitan Opera, Louis Burkot of Opera North, soprano Lyubov Petrova, and Ken Benson of The Juilliard School, to name a few.

Now based in California, Neumeyer stands as a second year undergraduate student at University of The Pacific Conservatory of Music where she is a student of accomplished tenor Daniel Ebbers. Previous to Ebbers, Neumeyer spent her high school years developing her technique under the mentorship of sopranos Dr. Sherry Overholt and Jennifer Grimaldi Toohey.
