Bio

Shae Brodsky started studying voice and piano privately at an early age. His interest in musical theater and opera began around the age of 14. He has been a regular cast member at the John G. Shedd Institute for the Arts, performing in musical theater productions for the last three years. Shae has been featured in the role of Barnaby Tucker in Hello, Dolly!, Ewart Dunlop in The Music Man, Kurt Von Trapp in The Sound of Music, and many other ensemble roles at the Shedd.

Shae has attended the 2023 Oregon Bach Festival’s Stangeland Family Choral Academy and the Boston Conservatory at Berklee in their 2024 Vocal/Choral Intensive.

Shae has competed in vocal competitions throughout the country where he has regularly placed in the top three. Most Recently Shae won Third Place in the Schmidt Vocal Competition’s Washington Regional as well as Second Place in the Young Vocalists Online Competition and this May will be competing in the CS Vocal Competition and the Schmidt Vocal Competition High School Nationals.

Shae is dedicated to his future as a professional singer and looks forward to pursuing a major in vocal performance.
