Bio

Austin Elkins is a dedicated and powerful bass-baritone with a rich, developed voice far beyond his age. He has graced the stage in a variety of roles across both musical theatre and opera, playing Dr. Bartolo in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, Gomez in The Addams Family, and Vodnik in Dvorak's Rusalka, to name a few. He has performed at both Carnegie Hall and the Sydney Opera House, won and placed in several competitions, and sang in many recitals and several operas, including three operas in three back-to-back weekends for the Miami Music Festival, and the chorus in BLO's award-winning production of Aida. After spending a year at Boston Conservatory studying under David Small, he has since transferred and will be spending the next four years at Chapman University studying under director Marc Callahan.
