Ngoc Thanh Thanh "Hannah" Do is a Vietnamese soprano and junior at Shattuck-St. Mary’s School, where she studies in the Vocal Performance Program with Melyssa Rice. She has been accepted into several top pre-college programs, including the Boston University Tanglewood Institute where she studies with Dr. Penelope Bitzas and participate in college ensembles, Washington National Opera Young Artist Summer Program, and Northwestern’s Bienen Young Artist Vocal Program.
Hannah has earned recognition at the Classical Singer Convention, NATS competitions, and other national and international vocal contests. She performs as a soloist and with the Shattuck-St. Mary’s Chamber Choir at renowned venues such as Steinmetz Hall.
In addition to music, Hannah is passionate about political science. She serves in leadership roles with the Minnesota YMCA Model United Nations and Youth in Government, and is currently conducting academic research on civic education and youth engagement.
