Bio

Sophie Morris-Suzuki is a Williamsburg-based soprano acclaimed for her sensitive musical interpretations, impressive versatility, and mighty upper extension. Petite but fierce, her vocal prowess has taken her to the world’s most illustrious stages ranging from Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center to the Hynes Convention Center and even the Chevy Court Stage at the New York State Fair. Recent operatic credits include Sandman, Dew Fairy, and chorus in No Strings Theatre’s production of Hansel and Gretel and chorus in Opera in Williamsburg’s Madama Butterfly. Sophie currently sings as a Choral Scholar for the Williamsburg Presbyterian Church and has recently appeared in concert both as a choir member and soloist with the Barksdale Treble Chorus, William & Mary Choir, Williamsburg Women's Chorus and Williamsburg Choral Guild. Sophie continues to distinguish herself in competitions as a two-time finalist for the Millie Andrews Young Artist Vocal Competition and in the William & Mary Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition.
