Bio

Alex Tanaka is an independent game designer and digital artist based in Kyoto, Japan, known for blending atmospheric horror with subtle psychological storytelling. His work explores the tension between familiarity and fear — inviting players to question what’s real in the spaces they think they know.

Before founding his own studio, Alex contributed to several indie projects focused on immersive, hand-crafted gameplay experiences. His breakout hit That’s Not My Neighbor became a viral success for its minimalistic visuals, eerie pacing, and emotional depth.

Outside of game development, Alex enjoys night photography, exploring abandoned architecture, and mentoring young creators in interactive storytelling. He believes the best horror isn’t about monsters — it’s about the quiet unease of the human mind.
