Bio

Sarah Rainey is a soprano originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania. Sarah recently completed her Masters of Music in Voice Performance at Temple University. She graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 2018 with her Bachelor degree in Music Education with an emphasis in voice and also received a Performance Certificate in Voice. Most recently, she performed the role of Suor Genovieffa in Puccini’s Suor Angelica with Opera Susquehanna. She also performed in two main stage opera productions while at Temple University in which she sang Una Conversa in Suor Angelica and in the chorus of Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore. In the summer of 2018, she had the pleasure of attending the Bassi Brugnatelli Symposium in Robbiate, Italy where she had the opportunity to perform on several aria concerts around Northern Italy with the BBS chamber orchestra. Upcoming, she is so excited and honored to be performing the role of Zerlina in Chicago Summer Opera’s production of Mozart’s Don Giovanni.
