From the 23/24 season, Ekaterina Protsenko is an ensemble member of the Perm Tchaikovsky Opera and Ballet Theater, where she performs roles such as Oscar (Un ballo in maschera), Ännchen (Der Freischütz), La Fée (Cendrillon), Brigitta (Iolanta), Despina (Così fan tutte), Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor), Anne Truelove (Rake’s progress), Masha/Prilepa (Pique Dame), Zerlina (Don Giovanni).
She debuted at Moscow Philharmonie with Händel‘s „Brockes Passion“ under the baton of Ekatetina Antonenko and State Chamber Orchestra of Russia and presented Barock-Gala Concert at Ges-2 House of Culture (Moscow) under Vladimir Tkachenko and Chamber orchestra of Perm Opera. In St.Petersburg she performed concert version of Traetta‘s „Antigona“ under Fabio Pirola.
She sang Beethoven’s Klärchen-songs alongside KS Thomas Hampson with the Orchester Wiener Akademie, conducted by Martin Haselböck at Golden Hall of Wiener Musikverein.
The soprano also performed 23 concerts on a concert tour in China (Wuxi Grand Theater, Nanjing Poly Grand Theater, Tianjin Grand Theater and Shanghai oriental Art center to name a few) with an operetta programme under the baton of Raphael Schlüsselberg. In 2023, she appeared as Papagena (Die Zauberflöte) with the Nederlandse Reisopera.
In 2022, she successfully jumped in as Phani in Rameau’s Les Incas du Pérou (Les Indes galantes) at Teatro Amintore Galli in Rimini together with Filarmonica Toscanini under the baton of Giulio Prandi. As for her concert work, Ekaterina sang the soprano part in Bach’s Mass in B minor with Bach Collegium Zürich in Großmüster Zürich and the Vienna Stephansdom and took part in Gerd Kühr’s world premiere Versuch über das Unbegreifliche at Styriarte. She celebrated her debut at the Festival della Valle d'Itria as Amastre in Francesco Cavalli's Il Xerse under the baton of Federico Maria Sardelli and direction of Leo Muscato. She also sang at the “Concerto per lo spirito” with music by Claudio Monteverdi in the Basilica of San Martino with the Baroque orchestra Modo Antiquo. The soprano made her Swedish debut at the International Vadstena Academy Festival as Gelinda in Pollarolo`s Il colore fa la regina at Vadstena gamla teater in 2021. The same year, she also celebrated her debut as Eurydice in Gluck`s Orphée ed Eurydice at Theater an der Wien (Wiener Kammeroper) and gave a solo recital with the Russian baroque orchestra Pratum Integrum in Moscow.
In the autumn of 2019, Ekaterina appeared at the Wiener Konzerthaus with the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Alexander Polishchuk. In the summer, she performed the role of Second maid in Flotow’s Martha at the jOPERA festival in Austria under the baton of Georg Fritsch and staging by KS Brigitte Fassbaender. In April 2019, she made her debut in the Tonhalle Düsseldorf as the duet partner of Yusif Eyvazov. She also performed excerpts from Bach’s St. Matthew Passion and Schumann’s Das Paradies und die Peri under the baton of Erwin Ortner in Schönbrunn Palace Theatre. The soprano portrayed roles such as Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro) at the Sommerserenaden Graz and in a production of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, Despina (Così fan tutte) in the South Korean Daegu National theatre, Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) at the Mozarthaus in Vienna, Belinda (Dido and Aeneas) in St. Petersburg and Clarice (Il mondo della Luna) at the jOPERA festival.
