Bio

Julia Tooker is an award-winning soprano currently in her final year of Vocal Performance studies at the Eastman School of Music, training under Kathryn Cowdrick. Raised in Rochester, NY, with vibrant Puerto Rican heritage, she was immersed in diverse musical traditions from an early age. Her classical voice training began with Diane Abrahamian at the Eastman Community Music School, and she later performed leading roles in several community theatre musicals. Julia made her Broadway cabaret debut in 2023 as a Rising Star at Ben Cameron’s Broadway Sessions in NYC, and in 2025, she made her professional opera debut as an Apprentice Artist with Finger Lakes Opera, appearing in Rigoletto and The Anonymous Lover.
