Bio

Reviewed as a “classical soubrette with clear high notes," Brazilian soprano Isabella Luchi made her hometown debut stepping into a production of Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia, having learned the role of Berta in four days. Since then, Isabella has debuted more than ten roles in major cities in Brazil, United States, and Austria. She has recently appeared in Carnegie Hall as soloist with Angels Vocal Art. Her repertoire runs from Purcell to contemporary opera, and includes two world premieres of concert pieces by Brazilian composers Oliver Toni and Gilberto Mendes.

Luchi holds a MM - Vocal Performance from Azusa Pacific University, class of soprano Angela Blasi. In California, Isabella has performed with South Coast Symphony, Pacific Opera Project, and Angels Vocal Art. Past roles include the coloratura Miss Titmouse (Penhorwood’s Too Many Sopranos), Una Conversa (Suor Angelica), Susan (Berkeley’s A dinner engagement), Despina (Così fan tutte), and Serpina (La Serva Padrona).

Isabella is excited and grateful to attend the CS Music Convention and participate in the Vocal Competition! She is looking forward to applying for Certificate Programs/ DMA, and auditioning for YAPs in the near future.
