Leah Yackanech

Leah Yackanech is a voice performance student at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). She participated in the 2025 Music by Women Festival, 2025 Cincinnati Chamber Music Intensive, 2024 Winter Music On Site Intensive, 2024 Chorworks Young Artist Program, Kennedy Center Young Associates Program, the Washington National Opera Summer Opera Institute, and the Belcanto Bootcamp program. In 2025, she performed the role of the Third Lady in The Magic Flute at Metauro Opera in Columbus, Ohio.

Likewise, she was in the CCM Opera d'Arte 2023 and 2025 Programs. In 2024, she was a Semi-Finalist at the American International Czech and Slovak Competition. In 2022, she earned first place in the King's Peak International Music Competition. Additionally, she has placed earlier in NATS, CS Music Competition, the Schmidt Vocal Arts Competition, and the American Music Talent International Competition. Additionally in 2022, she was the College Connects President and Podcast Manager for the National Opera Teens Program of OPERA America.
