Bio

Mia Rago is a soprano from Chicago, Illinois. In May of 2022, she graduated Magna Cum Laude as a Vocal Performance major and Italian minor from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. Rago was a voice student of Dr. Mark Whatley. Her stage roles include Gilda in Rigoletto, Suor Genovieffa in Suor Angelica, Romilda in Handel’s Serse and the title role in Ronald Beckett’s Ruth. She has performed scenes as Susanna in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, Mabel in Sullivan’s Pirates of Penzance, and Servilla in La Clemenza di Tito. Rago is currently a voice student of Dr. Abigail Santos. Mia has received master classes and coachings from David Gowland, Jack LiVigni, Dr. Stephen King, Ana Maria Otamendi, and John Holiday.
