Lydia Lewis

• Throughout my high school career, I have accomplished a multitude of things in the vocal world. My freshman, junior, and senior year, I participated in the Quad State Choir at Murray State University, where students were selected from five different states to participate in this mass choir. I have been a member of the Mid-State honor choir for Tennessee my sophomore and senior year, as well as the All-state honor choir for both years. I have been a part of the Clarksville Montgomery County School System Honor choir for all of my high school, as well as earning a superior rating at the CMCSS Solo and Ensemble for six consecutive years.

Hello! My name is Lydia Lewis, I am a soprano, and I have been singing since I was about 8 years old. When I was a child, I joined my church's children's choir where my love for singing blossomed. Once in middle school, I joined a show choir and began vocal lessons with my current high school choir teacher, Ms. Stella McKnight. As a senior in high school, I can confidently reflect back on my adolescent years as a formative time in my singing career that, out of the multitude of other extracurriculars I participate in, it has been one of my most enjoyable attributes. In the fall of 2023, I will be attending East Tennessee State University as a pre-medical biology major with a minor is vocal performance. If awarded this scholarship money, it will go solely towards paying for my college tuition, as education and knowledge is one of the most important aspects of life for any and all peoples.
