Imani McKoy, Mezzo-soprano, is an emerging classical soloist, recitalist, and chorister. Her artistry is shaped by years of study with soprano, Roberta Laws, during which she developed a refined vocal style marked by emotional depth. As a collaborator, McKoy has performed as a part of the NC Central University Choir and Kizazi Alumni Chorale, whose recent appearances include Carnegie Hall, Duke Chapel, and Washington National Cathedral. As a soloist, she has performed with Raleigh Symphony Orchestra's chamber ensemble.
McKoy is an award-winning scholar and member of Pi Kappa Lambda. She was accepted to Duke University Divinity School, where she integrated her musical gifts with theological and ethical inquiry. McKoy brings music and meaning together through ongoing work at the intersection of performance, theology, and ethics.
