Bio

Born in Redding California, Amanda is a Lyric Spinto Soprano and now studies at CSU Sacramento with Julie Miller. She has previously studied with Dr. Robin Fisher and Dr. Malcom MacKenzie. Her passion is for opera and has performed numerous scene roles and full roles under the direction of Ryan Murray at the CSU. Her favorite characters she has performed in scenes include Fiordiligi (Cosi fan tutte), Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus), Mimi (La boheme), Lady Valerie (Cabildo), Gilda (Rigoletto), and Violetta (La Traviata). She has also performed the full role as Lauretta in Gianni Schicci and Cendrillon in Pauline Viardot's Cendrillon. She currently is a Senior in her Undergrad and is actively searching for grad and summer programs. Amanda currently sings with California Camerata based in Carmichael CA and is set to perform with the North State Symphony in their November concert. Amanda is preparing for her roles with Four Corners Ensemble: Operation Opera, hosted at CSU Sacramento. This summer, her roles include The Merchant (Lead Soprano) in The Hero's Awakening as well as Siren 1 (Mrs. President, Soprano) in Legit Secrets, both of which are contemporary new operas.
