Jacqueline “Jackie” Yabut, is a 17 year old Junior at Paramus Catholic High School, New Jersey, where she is a devoted member of the Paramus Catholic High School Theater Company, and PCHS Choral/Choir Program. She recently got the coveted role of Dorothy in the highschool musical, “Wizard of Oz.” She played, Belle in their “Beauty and The Beast” production during sophomore year.

She has played other note worthy roles in middle school at Teaneck Community Charter School such as, Glinda (Jr. Pilot Production- where she performed in front of renowned “Wicked” musical composer Stephen Schwartz), and Anna (Frozen Jr.). Jackie also showcased her versatility in her middle school productions when she was casted as Maui (Moana Jr.), Lumiere (Beauty & The Beast Jr.) and Young Simba (The Lion King Jr.). She played ensemble roles in “Little Mermaid Jr.,” “Bye, Bye Birdie Jr.,” and “Guys & Dolls.” Her passion and dedication to her craft and theater were proven when she heeded the call for assistance from her theater peers, and returned on TCCS’ stage as an alumna, to fill-in for the role of “Troy Bolton,” (High School Musical Jr.) with only 2 days to learn all the materials, before opening night.

Jackie has been part of her church choir since she was 8 years old, and is experienced in both solo and choral singing techniques.

In 2020, she obtained a coveted spot for a Soprano 1 (NJ Honor Choir) in the 2020 NJ Elementary and Junior High All State Choir Festival-organized by the NJ American Choral Directors Association (the event was cancelled due to the pandemic).

When not singing, Jackie works on her song compositions.
