Bio

Clare Lee is a 17-year-old soprano from Cary, North Carolina whose love for classical singing extends back to 2nd grade. Under the guidance of her wonderful teacher, Ms. Kimberley Bentley, she has won several national awards including 1st place in the classical category of the 2023 NATS National Student Auditions, national finalist in 2024 Schmidt Vocal Competition on the stage of the Sarasota Opera House, and was named a 2025 YoungArts Classical Voice Winner. She has expanded her performance experiences as a member of the adult choir in North Carolina Opera’s 2024 concert production of Ernani and has been an invited guest singer in numerous formal events, including the 2023 Asian American MOVENC PAC Kickoff and 2024 Woman’s Club of Raleigh Student Arts Festival. She will also be singing at the 2025 Lunar New Year Gala. The summer of 2024, Clare trained at the Schmidt Vocal Institute where she sang for world-renowned artists such as coach Warren Jones, Elizabeth Bishop of The Juilliard School. In addition, Clare has also performed in masterclasses by bass-baritone Donovan Singletary and dramatic soprano Alexandra LoBianco. Clare strives to constantly push her limits as an actor, singer, and artist and intends to continue her musical education in vocal performance in college.
