Kaia Owens is a dedicated musician with a passion for opera. She is senior at Tampa Preparatory School and currently studies under Dr. Jon Bassett at Florida College. Kaia competes in both local and national competitions including the National Association of Teachers of Singing regional competition, CS Music International Vocal Competition, Schmidt Vocal Competition, and Kaia will sing with the Florida All State Choir for her sixth year. Kaia has participated in summer programs with The Metropolitan Opera Guild and The Juilliard School. She has sung in masterclasses with professors from Manhattan School of Music and Cincinnati College-Conservatory. Along with these credits, Kaia has performed in Cavalleria Rusticana with Opera Tampa and will join them again next season. Kaia will continue her music education after graduation and is beyond grateful for the wonderful opportunities she has had
