Bio

Described as a “stage animal”, soprano Jenna Grissom began her career at Opera Memphis at the early age of 11. Presently, she is receiving her Graduate Performance Diploma at Peabody Conservatory under the guidance of the acclaimed soprano Elizabeth Futral. She has previously studied with applauded teachers Sandra Moon, Dr. Loraine Sims, Dr. Sandra Franks, and Dennis Whitehead-Darling. An award-winning soprano, Jenna has received multiple honors from the National Association of Teachers of Singing, the Mozart Society, and has been awarded the AADGT International Young Musicians Festival Silver Medal Winner. She recently won the Encouragement award from The Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition in the New Orleans District. Jenna made her Carnegie Hall debut in April of 2022. Some of her more recent engagements include Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte, Javotte in Manon, Fox in Příhody lišky Bystroušky, and Alice Ford in Falstaff, with The Turner-Fischer Center for Opera at Louisiana State University. She was a studio artist with the Russian Opera Workshop based in Philadelphia, and the Sandman in Hansel and Gretel with Opéra Louisiane, and Suor Angelica in Suor Angelica with Opera Festival di Roma.
