Utarid Mirzamova, a soprano from Kazan, Tatarstan, is currently based in Seattle (WA, USA). In the 2023-2024 season, Utarid made a successful European debut at the National Theater Košice (Košice, Slovakia) as Elisabeth from R. Wagner's "Tannhäuser" and received excellent reviews from critics. Hilde Lutz of 'Der Neue Merker' wrote in February 2024: "Utarid Mirzamova sang Elisabeth with technical confidence and offered a moving portrayal of the role."
After completing her vocal studies in Kazan, in 2014, she enrolled to study at the Musical Theatre Department of the Russian University of Dramatic Arts (GITIS) in Moscow, under the workshop of Dmitry Bertman, where she studied voice with Emma Sarkisyan.
In 2015, she starred in a documentary about Tchaikovsky, "P.I. Tchaikovsky. Secrets of the House in Klin." Since 2016, Utarid has been an artist of the Young Artist Program at the Bolshoi Theatre, where she studied voice with Makvala Kasrashvili, Svetlana Nesterenko, and Dmitry Vdovin.
During the 2017-2018 season as a member of the Young Artist Program at the Bolshoi Theatre, Utarid participated in many concerts and festivals, including W. A. Mozart's "Idomeneo, Fragments of the Opera" in the Beethoven Hall of the Bolshoi Theater (Moscow), and a solo concert performance at the Orfeo Music Festival in Vipiteno (Italy). She participated in the concert "Rising Star of Bolshoi Theater" in Graz (Austria). She was featured in the program “Romance Romance” on the TV channel “Russia-Culture.” Additionally, she performed parts of soprano in Rossini's Messa Solemnis op. 123 and the role of a Polovtsian Maiden in the opera "Prince Igor" by Borodin, directed by the famous Russian director Yuri Lubimov at the Historical Stage of The Bolshoi Theatre.
During the 2019-2023 seasons, Utarid Mirzamova was a former soloist of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater where she performed roles such as Mimì in “La Bohème” by Puccini (the director of the production was Philipp Himmelmann and the musical head was Teodor Currentzis), Marguerite in Gounod's “Faust” (Director Vasily Barkhatov), Ninetta in "The Love of Three Oranges" by Prokofiev, Zerlina in "Don Giovanni" by Mozart, Frasquita in "Carmen" by Bizet, and a Polovtsian maiden in "Prince Igor" by Borodin.
Utarid Mirzamova pays special attention to performing recitals of chamber vocal music and sacred music. She performed oratorios A. Vivaldi's "Gloria" 2029 Parkanon, Finland) , F. Mendelssohn's "Elias" (2021 (Lapua, Finland), G. Pergolesi's "Stabat Mater." (2021, Moscow Russia).
During 2022-2024, Utarid prepared such parties as Liu "Turandot" Puccini, Lisa "Queen of Spades" Tchaikovsky, Michaela "Carmen" Bizet Leonora "Il Trovatore" Verdi, Desdemona "Othello" Verdi Cio-chio San "Madama Butterfly" Puccini. In the next season, 2024-2025, Utarid will perform the roles of Elisabeth "Tannhäuser" by Wagner and Liu “Turandot” by Puccini at the National Theater Košice (Košice, Slovakia).
