Bio

My name is Anna George, and I am a 21 year old mezzo-soprano from Green Bay, Wisconsin. In 2022, I graduated from Green Bay Southwest High School with high honors and participated in the Chamber Choir at my high school for three years under the direction of Mr. Brandon Rockstroh. I have been singing classically for six years, and am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Music in Classical Vocal Performance at the Chicago College of Performing Arts within Roosevelt University.

I have studied voice and vocal performance with Dr. Courtney Sherman at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay throughout high school, and have been singing chorally for seven years, including in three instances of the WSMA State Honors Choir Music Project. As well, I have been performing in show choir for nine years, and musical theatre for four.

Now, at Roosevelt University's CCPA, I study classical voice performance under Professor Elizabeth Byrne, and have performed my first principal roles, Ma Moss in The Tender Land, and Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro. As well, I am currently preparing the role of Ruggiero in Handel’s Alcina for Chicago Summer Opera 2025.
