Chimdindu Nnamani is a sophomore bass 2 for the Marcus High School Varsity Choir. He started choir in 4th grade during elementary school, but he wasn’t very interested in it, and he wasn’t very good. So he instead decided to join Orchestra in middle school. He spent all 3 years playing the cello and found out that it wasn’t for him. During those three years his voice began to mature and deepen, so when the time for choosing electives arrived, he decided to choose choir again, due to his change in vocal range and sudden spark of interest. At the end of the first day of high school choir, the boys choir coordinator, Mr. Howard, saw that he had a nice voice, and encouraged him to sign up for the TMEA All State Choir Competition. He did just that and after his first experience competing, Chimdindu has shown interest in participating in other chorale competitions as well.
