Bio

My whole life I have known what I want to do with my time on earth. I've wanted to perform. Whether it be singing, acting, dancing, or simply connecting with people through expressive media. I began vocal lessons at the age of 6 after being enchanted by a production of Phantom of the Opera. From that moment, I was sure I was going to be an opera singer. Time went on and as I was exposed to other styles of performance, my passions and intrigues shifted and broadened. My focus was then moved to musical theatre and stage acting. I was mesmerized by Shakespeare and Sondheim, Rodgers and Hammerstein, and my personal favorite storyteller, Wes Anderson. Now that I'm a Sophomore in college, I find my passion for the arts is as fervent as ever. I'm currently studying for a vocal performance degree at the University of Utah. While I have loved my time there and have learned so much from my wonderful teacher, Dr. Carol Ann Allred, I'm hoping to broaden my horizons and devote as much of myself as possible to an exploration of the arts. I believe the best option for me now is to transfer to a university that will allow me the freedom to explore my interests while also providing me with the structure and stability needed to fully dedicate myself to a life in the arts.
