Bio

I've been singing all my life but I began to take music seriously when I was about 12. This was when I began singing in choirs, with private voice lessons following soon after. Throughout high school I continued studying extensive Choral, Classical, and Musical theatre material. I was very fortunate to be presented with many opportunities during this time. For 4 years I frequently competed at a state and national level, both as part of an ensemble and as a soloist. I was very involved in the community as well, often taking part in community events/fundraisers and volunteering with children interested in choir. The tools I accumulated throughout this time enabled me to set up my own concert in México in 2016, a fundraiser for cancer awareness that raised over $2,000. More recently as part of the Santa Rosa Junior College music family, I have been able to give private lessons with an even better understanding of harmony, collaboration, and industry standards. I have been extremely fortunate to have a slew of wonderfully wise teachers, most of whom I can credit with nurturing my passion for music. Just last month I was a finalist at the NATS Redwood Empire singing festival, wherein I was awarded the Thelma Dare Ahner scholarship. It wouldn't have been possible without my voice teachers! There are many reasons why I’ve chosen to pursue music, but the meticulous attention to detail required of a singer paired with the constant exploration of emotion are the primary elements that assure me I am in the right field.
