William Jacobson is a baritone BM Vocal Music Education major in his fourth year at Concordia. A multi-faceted musician, Will maintains a busy performance schedule both on and off campus. He has sung with the Concordia Choir, Fargo-Moorhead Opera and Opera Concordia. He has won several Minnesota and North Dakota NATS competitions over the years and will be singing in the SongFest Young Artist Program in Los Angeles this summer. Will is currently in his first year of study with Dr. Anne Jennifer Nash, having previously studied with Mr. David Hamilton. In addition to singing, he is an accomplished pianist and organist, having studied with Dr. Grigor Khachatryan, Dr. Jay Hershberger, and Andrew Steinberg, respectively. He currently holds two church positions in Fargo, ND directing the handbell choir at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and accompanying the senior choir at Olivet Lutheran Church. Will recently completed his student teaching at Davies High School with cooperating teacher Carly Grandner McDougall. Next year he plans to take the Cobber Flex Year completing a minor in religious studies before pursuing a master’s degree in vocal performance.
