Helen Xie has had a passion for music ever since she was young and has been singing since she was four. She currently studies under Professor Eun-Mee Ko, Chair of the Voice Department at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre-College. In 2025, Helen was honored as a YoungArts Winner with Distinction and participated in National YoungArts Week, where she took part in a masterclass with acclaimed countertenor John Holiday.
She has performed in The Marriage of Figaro and The Tales of Hoffmann through the International Lyric Academy (ILA) Ensemble Summer Program in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Vicenza, Italy. A dedicated choral singer, Helen also took part in the 2025 American Choral Directors Association National Conference in Dallas, Texas. In the summer of 2024, she was selected for the Young Artists Vocal Program at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute.
Helen has received first place in both the American Protégé International Vocal Competition and the Bellagrande International Music Competition. This summer, she will return to ILA to make her role debut as Meg in Little Women.
