Bio

Maria Damianou has sung in choirs and opera locally and abroad from the Klein, Carnegie Hall, St. Peter’s Basilica and more. Performed under the direction of Constance Chase, Ellen Dickinson, Michael Ciavaglia, David Fryling, David Ramael, Robyn Gangi, in repertoire including solos for the world premiere of Caritas Abundat, Vivaldi’s Magnificat, Mozart Missa Brevis, Tedesco’s Romancero Gitano, Die Fledermaus, Eugene Onegin, Marriage of Figaro, Carmina Burana to name a few. She currently solos around New England, is the cantor at St. Mark RC Church in Stratford, and a member of Connecticut Chamber Choir and Music on the Hill.

Maria has received many accolades for her quality of singing, her expressiveness and connection with listeners and musicians alike. She is grateful to study with Donna Balson, Constance Chase, and Virginia Herrera Crilly.
