Elisa Mato

Elisa Mato, 21 is a soprano from Fort Worth, Texas. She is a Vocal Performance major and rising senior Oklahoma City University where she is in the studio of Courtney Crouse and coaches with Jan McDaniel. Prior to university she was taught by Holly DiClaudio . She is an aspiring singing-actor with a love of opera and classical repertoire.

In 2024, Elisa played "Phyllis" in Oklahoma City University's production of Iolanthe. She also played "Captain Lester" in a student-led production of Lost Upon Us. Previously she was cast in OCU opera's production of The Magic Flute and in student-led productions as Melia in Apollo and Hyacinthus and as Mabel in scenes from Pirates of Penzance. High School roles included Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Jovie in Elf, and Elisa / Lamar in Godspell. She was a 2021 Dallas Summer Musicals (DSM) nominee for Best Supporting Actress. She also serves as the Assistant Artistic Director for Operations, the student-led opera program at OCU.
