Dawson Huinker lives in Clive, IA with her family. She attends Dowling Catholic High School and just finished her freshman year. Her favorite subjects are reading, choir, and theater. Dawson got her start and found a love of the stage when she was Cruella de Vil in 101 Dalmatians at the Des Moines Playhouse summer camp. Since then, she has participated in multiple productions throughout the Des Moines metro including but not limited to JoJo in Seussical Jr., Mal in Descendants the Musical, and Louisa in The Sound of Music, along with her high school musical Shrek where she was Dragon. Dawson stays busy with many after school activities. At school, she participates in choir, show choir, jazz choir, drama, speech, and volleyball. She also keeps busy with private voice and piano lessons. When she gets a chance to relax, you will find her face in a book or drawing with a pencil in her hand.
