Bio

Jack Blackburn is a Kansas City-based performer with a long history of music and theatre. Currently studying Music Performance and Music Business at Truman State University, he has studied voice for 13 years under the guidance of various teachers, most notably Michelle Allen McIntire, Jacqueline Collett, and Thomas Hueber. During this time, he has won multiple awards and performed in operas like Mozart's Bastien und Bastienne as Bastien and Puccini's Gianni Schicchi as Rinuccio, musicals such as Stephen Schwartz’s Pippin as Pippin and Steve Martin and Eddie Brickell’s Bright Star as Billy Cane, along with plays such as George Brant’s Elephant's Graveyard as the Engineer and D.W Gregory’s Radium Girls as Arthur Roeder. Jack aims to tell stories that resonate with people and shine a light on both the good and the ugly through music, theatre, and movement, and he believes there is nothing a good story cannot help with.
